FWIW: I'm an engineer and at my last employer I reviewed hundreds of applications and I'd weigh the cover letter heavily. Someone who's passionate about the job is a huge asset and can easily overcome any minor weaknesses.

I don't have links to any; they might be all internal. The current iteration of the patent grant was developed in collaboration with Google to meet their needs, so if there is any complaint they still have with it, that is news to me.

To be clear: only the patent license ceases, which is something you wouldn't even get in the first place with most other licenses. It may also be that no patents are used in React at all. I personally do not know of any that are. (Disc

Google does use React now; as far as I know they are happy with the current version of the PATENTS file.

This is what the Extensible Web Manifesto is -- an agreement from browser vendors to build in low-level primitives so that things can be implemented in user space: https://www.w3.org/community/nextweb/2013/06&

That doesn't sound right. You can pass whatever you want as props to a composite component; you just can't use objects as a list of children in a DOM component, but that's not what you were doing before. When Ryan Florence fi

I am not sure why the parent compares webpack to gulp/grunt. The latter are generalized task runners (think "make"), but the former is a tool for bundling together many small JS files into one. Webpack (and browserify, a comp
