I'm repurposing an old laptop (an Asus X53SV with an i7, 8GB RAM, and 1TB HDD) for a simple server at home that I use for Plex/Jellyfin, Navidrome, and some self-hosted webapps, all using Docker. Can't handle transcoding med

For integrated ads on YouTube (sponsor messages), you can use the SponsorBlock extension ( https://sponsor.ajay.app/ ). If you're using Android, you can also get NewPipe with SponsorBlock integration.

I had the same problem on my 4a. I've since upgraded to a Pixel 8, and I still have the blank screen problem. Notably with a PWA, has to be killed and restarted. This is on Fennec (so FF dev basically). Annoys so much, chromium-based b

I think it just depends on the games you play. Check to see how much space they'll use. Personally, I don't play a lot of "AAA" type games, I play more indie games, so 256GB has more than enough space for me. You can al

Pretty sure Macrodroid or Tasker can do this. In Macrodroid, I can set brightness to an integer 0-100 for brightness percentage. Plus, on Pixels at least, there is a setting for Extra Dim (in accessibility settings) which can also probably

Agreed, find a class-less framework to start, so that you focus on just the HTML, semantic structure first. Here's a couple of lists of such frameworks: https://github.com/troxler/awesome-css-frameworks#class-less

This explains why I haven't seen the popup yet. I'm logged out on FF, logged in on Chrome (I have premium), but do all casual YT viewing in FF.

For one thing (on Windows), the PiP window floats above all other windows, so you can always view it. Of course you can do this with a new browser window but not natively without some workarounds (perhaps on other OS's).

You must be talking about F-Droid Basic? The notable difference is: > The Basic version of F-Droid Client has a reduced feature set (e.g. no nearby share and no panic feature). It targets Android 13 and can do unattended updates without

I've personally found the notifications that updates are available to be more consistent with Neo Store over Droid-ify. (I've had both installed at the same time, Neo always showed up first, despite the same settings). I was a use

F-Droid is one of the first apps I install when I get a new phone. That said, I usually just use the F-Droid app to install an alternate client (yes, I could download clients manually...). There's Neo Store[0] which is a fork of Droid-

There's definitely some internet rule out there that states as soon as users can submit artwork to some publicly visible forum, racism and nsfw imagery will show up. Thanks for this project though, it's pretty neat :)
