I always thought the ideas from the Mu project were interesting, not sure about its current status as I haven't seen Mu or Akkartik on HN for a while. https://github.com/akkartik/mu

No clue what FlexOS is but High C v1.7 seems to be there: https://archive.org/details/mwhc17flexos Maybe it can be "ported" to some other kind of OS.

The PO are still expensive for the hardware they have and the UX leaves a lot to be desired...

That's disappointing given the effort to even generate the ROM directly from the pak file of the original game to avoid asset related issues. I'd have thought the N64 had a non-Nintendo SDK by now.

Who's to say they're the first to discover this? They're the first to discover it and do something to fix it. I thought there was a US law now where breaches like this have to be reported?

Whatever age this individual is doesn't matter really. It seems that the situation has been handled, and I'm sure it was a massive lesson. I didn't do anything but repost the bold link from the first paragraph of TFA...

Use something like Construct, GameMaker, etc. immediate visual feedback is super important! That's why Unreal Engine is so popular even in professional game studios, the Editor is fantastic.

This repo, albeit "old" in regards to how much progress there's been in LLMs, has great simple tutorials right there eg. fine-tuning GPT2 with Shakespeare: https://github.com/karpathy/nanoGPT

You could have made the file extension ".k7" which is short for "cassette" in French. Great work of course, just a fun suggestion ;)

Typo both on HN and TFA. It's "hierarchical". Reminds me of when there's a typo in a codebase and the auto completion just replicates it across everywhere.

Ubisoft used to use ScaleForm, the alternative Flash runtime for games, for a lot of the Assassin's Creed games. I know some games use a specialised version of WebKit, for example Sea of Thieves uses Coherent UI[1]. There's also U

AI super resolution can do text with no issues, it "only" "fills in" the missing pixels so the overall shape of things is the same, just smoother.

Exactly this, if the networking is all handled automatically, the server is only relaying data so won't be able to validate things. The update in TFA is interesting as well, they're worried about Amazon for some reason, hence not
