I’m getting frustrated with Lemmy. I’ve tried to reply to a post this morning and the submit button just spins. No error, nothing. This is a bad bug, but there are plenty other small things. Like why is “Join Lemmy” link still displayed whe

My wife is definitely in the cannot read a map group. It astounds me and I've given up all hope of teaching her how to read a map. Even with GPS maps in the car it's still iffy. I know there is a stereotype about females and spati

This is my dilemma as well. New LEAF is 40+K CAD. I think I’ll try and find a used 2018 or newer for $20K and convince myself the battery will last.

Hmm.. I just gave this a quick spin and I’m not sure how they can talk about editing workflows without a culling process. I get that it leans on the Photos app for organization but the photos app is also lacking in this department. I’m look

This captures my use case pretty well. I’m a hobby photographer and use Lightroom on iPad as my only software step. I’d like to dabble with video. Now I have an easy avenue to do that. If it goes well and I need more, I can move to the full

> One of the issues I got with Apple Shortcuts is the lack of timer based triggers. That’s odd, I have (just double checked) an automation to run a shortcut every day at 0030 on my iPad. Maybe it’s just disabled on iOS?

This is so alien to me. I’ve been using Apple Pay for years. I don’t even know where my wallet is half the time. I certainly don’t carry it on my person. If you have an Apple Watch it’s even faster.

Oh man, as a longtime Mac user I have zero patience for this. Unfortunately my corporate laptop is a Windows one and when that giant, gaudy big blue Bing icon showed up in my toolbar yesterday I dropped everything to try and disable it. I w

That’s awesome. One of our New Year’s resolutions was to track our expenses and budget better this year so after making a spreadsheet in January, I wrote a simple Django app last week to import our transactions and start categorizing them.

I wrote a small app to scan my comments and stories on hacker news. It would dump them into a postgres database and use the full text search to normalize the text of the articles to make for easy searching at a later date when I inevitably

Sublime is, well, Sublime. Every time I try VS Code I just can’t commit. There’s a bit too much going on and it never feels as tight as Sublime. I did just get a new Windows machine, so maybe I should try it on that.
