20 is pretty far down the list for programming language popularity. https://www.tiobe.com/tiobe-index/ lists Scratch in the 20th position. Cobol is 25. I'm not sure there's a Lisp dialect in the top 20 now. O

I disagree with this. Most HR departments are functional and would take care of this problem. If you approach HR and they are unhelpful or place the blame on you, it's time to switch jobs, if possible.
