Have you tried using it via a web browser? https://teams.microsoft.com (If I recall correctly---it's been several months since I've had to use it). I found it worked much faster than the actual Mac app.

My complaint? Well, back when I had to use it (between jobs now), I found the app (Mac M1-base laptop) to be slow and painful to use. But using Teams via a website? Way faster, which I found odd because I think both are web based (I thin

If you follow the links, most of the complaints stem from the Microsoft Windows implementation of the C Standard.

Think calloc()---it takes two size parameters, one the size of the item, and one the number of items. In theory, this could avoid an overflow: items = fread(array,sizeof(array[0]),count,fp); vs: items = read(fh,array, sizeof(

There are times when I work with old C code. Just the other day, I added proper C prototypes to a project, and immediately found several bugs with the code, like "this function is expecting a char **, the variable being passed in is c

The company I worked for got bought out, and new management took over (of course). I kept raising issues about how broken the new "Agile development system" was. My complaints hit a VP level, who was "looking into it."

Here's a real-world example from my previous job. A process makes two simultaneous requests (we're on a tight dead line here). Here is the enumerated states we have to code for: send 1,2 -> receive 1, receive 2, process

My post is a reaction to my previous job, where management cared more for tests than the actual product, and I was tasked with proving a negative. I was asking for a definition of "unit testing" and I always get different respons

But the orthodoxy seems to be write the tests first , see them fail, then write code, not write a little bit of code, write some test cases, repeat. How "test first, then code" works in a compiled language like C++ or Rust be

I heard of one program for the C-64 with two drives. You load the code into the drives, and it would copy a disk without the C-64 being on.

Install a web proxy (is Squid a thing anymore? It used to be the proxy server), configure your web browser(s) to use it, and have the proxy save all its content so you know where to search for a "known item search."
