>Didn't even need to be a VC to get access to VC level gains buying GOOG. That's a great point. Anyone who shits on a VC for not investing in Google ought to be asked how much Google stock they bought in 2004. 4000% gains is be

What you're ignoring is voters resoundingly rejected Prop 10, the rent control measure that went on the ballot LESS THAN ONE YEAR AGO. Which was pretty close to AB1482. Yet, despite the majority of voters saying no, the legislature fel

Also, Goodhart's Law. "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure." There's people who spend their whole adolescence studying for the SATs and their parents pay for every possible tutor and advantage

Excellent point. I would bet anything that the chinese government gave their oligarchs ample amount of time to move a large buffer of inventory before the ban went into effect.

Even though NASA's total budget is a lot bigger than most private space exploration companies, it seems as though space exploration is one small aspect of many things that NASA focuses on. For example, why is NASA so involved with clim

I wouldn't get too excited... the list shows to me that the kids only know about professions they're directly exposed to or repeatedly hear a lot about. Kinda dumb to ask kids what their ideal profession is when they really only u

It's (relatively) easy to show the math on why casino games are impossible to win, but what about sports betting? Does the house always have the advantage? Perhaps it's slightly better for the gamer? FWIW I was looking a betting w

What's up with all these children hating their parents? Not judging but genuinely curious. Is something in the culture? A lot of these people who die alone with unclaimed bodies have children. Why don't the children care?

If you're already at say a 4.2, a 0 could really bring you down if you don't ride a lot. Also, IIRC drivers can and do reject rides for people at their predetermined threshold. E.g. they will pass on a 4.0 waiting for a 4.5 or abo
