If you consider how knowledge decays, your strategy makes more sense. You get to something like Pareto proficiency in a subject and can then ‘reactivate’ that knowledge more easily in the future, should it be required. You are also of cours

Doesn’t expound upon two of the most important things: (1) focus on business value over technical challenge (if anything this preaches the opposite) and (2) learn how to get as close as possible to the global optimum in the 3D space formed

It doesn’t have to be a unicorn. Maybe it’s incumbent on the rational participants in this community to figure out a way to do what you’re describing. New business models can be even more valuable inventions than new technologies. Perhaps V

Saying that a VC-funded startup can provide the same experience as Bell Labs or Xerox Parc is a tremendous false equivalency. Some exceptions might resemble those R&D behemoths. Most will not because VC - with its attendant growth expec

Training ML models usually doesn’t have the same uptime requirements as production systems. If your training goes down for a bit, it probably won’t make much difference to the underlying business, in most cases. That’s why the author found

That’s not at all what I said. A mobile website is not an acceptable ‘form factor’ for functionality one might expect to find in a native app. It violates user expectations and is a significantly inferior medium for achieving mobile clients

I strongly disagree with your understanding of software engineering. In my experience, the best engineers adapt as layers of abstraction permit them to no longer be as concerned about the lower level considerations, such as the ones you not
