You've got some stiff competition out there, with companies like Google and Facebook funding development of these algorithms. I think the days of individual coders surpassing the current state of the art are gone. It's in the inte

Before we say too much about the performance of your algorithm, encoding/decoding speed and memory use must be considered, especially with very large inputs. Note that on this particular small sample of text, Zstandard `zstd -13` compr

The Hellfire AGM-114R-9X missiles have bladed bits that slice the target instead of blowing it up. (So, flying swords instead of flying hammers?)

I was personally referencing gun control (and mental health interventions), but there are surely lots of others too when it comes to this particular problem.

Not supporting bullied kids is huge . I'm almost surprised the shootings don't happen more often, since a child being bullied and not receiving any help from the people entrusted to protect them must feel utterly helpless.

Can I ask about your use case, and how humanoids would be a better fit than similarly-priced quadrupeds? Something with two-handed telepresence?

I don't think this counts as a Show HN. (I noticed it was posted earlier, properly I believe, as a regular post.)

It's obviously a bot, and it appears to be shadowbanned. Turn showdead to 'no' in your settings, and ignore.

Do you have a background in math and physics, or are you another person who would benefit from watching Angela Collier's vibe physics video? https://youtu.be/TMoz3gSXBcY

A while back I thought of simply adding a CSS filter to turn the colors of the entire site inverted, but never bothered. * { filter:invert(100%) !important } I'm not sure if that would work on the text boxes or not, though.

Is this vibe physics ? Hacker News is absolutely not the place to debut a Grand Unified Theory if you want to be taken seriously, and I feel like anyone who isn't a crank already knows this.

I wonder how well this could scale up or down for use in different locations. I'm imagining a smaller version of this in the parking lot of an apartment block, office, or school.
