Yea this was the "elephant in the room" as I read this article. Even if the budgetary requirements necessitate that you pull a ton of people over regardless of race, I imagine the instances where probable cause requires you to pul

That's why I think practicing "leetcoding" is totally worth it. A significant amount of senior applicants fail easy codingbat level questions. Being proficient at easy level algorithm questions will usually push you to the fr

It's also a way to flex. Same way people tend to wear alumni sweaters from Ivy League, Stanford level schools. I doubt you'd see anyone wearing an Infosys (or similarly viewed company) shirt in that kind of environment.

Basically. "Abs get created in the kitchen not in the gym" I wasted dozens of hours of my life trying to jog off a horrible diet. I have heard some anecdotes of professional athletes who have horrible diets. I believe Chad Johnson

Google is only 2.5% black according to a quick search (and 3.5% Latino). That's all employees, not just developers. I'm not sure how that's even possible for a company of that size in America. AA may be underrepresented in te

Yesterday I read that Google actually decreases their expectations in the white boarding exercises for experienced hires because they realize the leetcoding techniques will not be as fresh in an experienced dev's mind. The expectations

I never got contacted by FAANGs until I got on Linkedin and made my account public. Seems like it has value in exposing people to big companies that otherwise might not have you in their network.

The Philadelphia version of "joan" in the 80s/90s was "bust"....now it's "bid". Philadelphians no longer "bust on people" they "bid on people". It's really interesting how the

Don't think this is even remotely true. Native Philadelphians, of all races, have been using jawn pretty heavily since at least the early/mid 90s. I'd be interested in which working class neighborhoods you lived in, nolibs&#x

I sometimes wish I had a better foundation in college level math when encountering proofs in algorithm books. This is probably the biggest hurdle to me just buckling down and studying the various complex algorithms.

Anyone living in a high COL city with multiple kids should look into importing an au pair. $2k a month would really help the au pair and her family back home and save the family potentially hundreds of dollars a month
