We've never had an executive whose financial policy positions include eliminating FDIC and that much of the federal deficit is fraudulent so can safely be disregarded and left unpaid. Believing in continuity at this time is a poor bet.

The reason it works better on Mac and windows is because they're designed to be desktop OSs. On Linux the funding goes to things cloud services and Android use, which decidedly does not include suspension or other desktop features

This is LITERALLY the twitter layoffs playing out again. They fired people who had credentials and other things they needed so had to hire them back. Everything else aside why repeat the same mistakes? Just go a little slower and give agenc

You made the decision to hire those people! Why are you punishing them for doing jobs you hired them to do??? I think this is executives mad at empire building middle managers who request bloated headcount to increase their scope

The creators I see on YouTube are EXTREMELY lean. Typically it's them and an editor. Some video game creators stream on twitch and record the YouTube videos live on stream. Pass the content to your editor and do light editing work and

Of course not it's a gutting of the federal government to prevent it from regulation or enforcement of anything that would limit the power of billionaires and companies.

Sure seems like some companies will enjoy encroaching on public land when there are no rangers to enforce regulations.

Steam users are more likely to be on win 10 than others because they often spend more money on gaming rigs than people buying web browser machine. With the hardware requirements of win 11 (tpm, others) many gamers will not want to throw out

It's quite handy in interpreters: read the instruction, store a pointer to the referenced field, then operate on it. That's the only time I used it at least.

This is a problem of their own making: treat your employees well and they won't want to leave. Treat them like cattle you can extract value from and they will.

DOGE is what you get when you take the performance management culture of big tech and apply it to government. Make big changes with 0 testing then no matter the outcome brag loudly about it. Move fast and break things indeed

I built my own PC years ago and it came without a tpm so I can't upgrade. The motherboard does have the plug for a tpm so I bought a cheap one and tried plugging it in. Windows still doesn't recognize it. I did my best but the obs

I use sublime as a copy paste buffer when I need excellent visual regex search and replace. Vscodes regex search has awkward semantics (or at least I don't know them as well as sublimes) so I usually paste things into sublime, edit the

I 100% agree with what you said, but no one looks back and remembers the people who voted against Hitler, or says 'there were some good people in Nazi Germany'.

I used to work on machine repair automation at a big tech company. IMO repairs are one of the overlooked and harder things to deal with. When you run on AWS you don't really think about broken hardware it mostly just repairs itself. Wh
