Sigh, I'm a cynic, this is an amazing accomplishment and all I could do was think that yeast will now be considered a controlled substance that I have to give my drivers license to buy like Sudafed. Keep doing excellent work.

I may be stepping on a landmine, but your numbers make me curious. Is the goal of gender diversity 50/50 female/male, or is it 20/80 female/male based off the compsci graduates? What does it mean to have a diverse develo

I'm stunned that Bill Allen left behind the photo he was presented with at the banquet. While he may have not liked it at the time it seems like he never forgave or recovered from it.

I saw the recently "this I'd build at GitHub" post. I love being able to search with this Chrome extension.

I've been saying the same thing, but I feel this goes too far into an alarmist view. When Facebook, Google, and Apple hold all the cards the creators, the developers, will move back out and create the 'old' Internet again. Th

I guess I've developed a (healthy?) distrust for anything I read that at this point reading they have a source is meaningless. Especially when you tie it to a link bait title.

You're absolutely right, there is no decision, there is no announcement, they even say the White House can't decide how to. NYT needs to add a [RUMOR] tag.

It must be late, because I looked in the comments section on the article and to my surprise I found interesting ideas and view points. I'll look again tomorrow.

I don't remember a time since the first boom that workers weren't interested in the fast easy money image of programming and startups. Combine that with the bootstrap programming education companies selling ITT Tech style train an

Your humorous view on an otherwise harrowing story brought a smile to my face. Glad you made it. My dad was a life-guard though I never asked him for any stories, I should do that.

Oh no, this same Twitter as a blog post format again. I still don't understand the salary sharing appeal. The last time I shared my salary I had a falling out shortly their after with my 'friends' I shared an apartment with.

People doing unsafe things with their cameras is popular. It wasn't some shaky cam either, and the bear holding her shoe in a later shot and licking the bars is powerful. More so this was in 1994, camera mishaps aren't new.

But the challenge doesn't make sense, there isn't much risk, no fear of being known. Economic studies have covered this before, would you rather make $50k where everyone else makes $75k? or make $40k where everyone else makes $30k

I really don't like the sound of this, just how far does it need to go? The end result is everyone being exactly the same as everyone else right? Same DNA even? But somehow if you made that society they would find a way to tell each ot
