I feel like you're approaching it from the concept that the world should be fair. I'm coming from the other angle. What if you ask for a raise and they said something such as "we can't give you a raise because we can

If I were making a good deal more than my peer what do I gain by being fair and honest. What makes it fair? Why shouldn't I make more or less by the skill of negotiation? I've not yet read a reason for the top paid people to talk

I'm sorry I didn't think I said anything rude at all. It was only an observation that I thought of the author as "she" before I looked. I can see it might have appeared to be sarcasm but it was not.

I mistakenly thought "she" when I read it. I wrote a comment using "she" before thinking I might have been wrong and correcting myself. I wonder why.

Too bad the author didn't take the time to learn about Anna when she was alive. I'm sure it would have been priceless to Anna to have a friendly neighbor. Instead the author felt guilty from the gentrification after the new house

Are we heading for some science fiction future where no one speaks honestly? It isn't a far stretch to imagine that everything is already recorded and what might not be usable against you today could be usable tomorrow if the climate c

Since the huge influx of new JavaScript developers happened we've entered a Wild West of development. Almost any combination of code is a great choice right now. It will settle down but open source stacks last only as long as their sup

No doubt about it, I haven't thought of buying any other VR seriously. The PS4 version is the only one I would consider right now and I don't even know the price. I'm most hopeful of a two VR one console setup at some point.

Perhaps, but I'd like to see it account for the number of dual income vs single income families too. My dual income no kids friends seem to have plenty of house(s) and toys.

Invictafication is a word I've seen used to describe this as well. Invicta watches are at a constant 80% to 95% off retail!

Hmm, I don't see this as a problem at all. Austin was a great place to be a software developer before that 2013 investment record they list. The cost of living is such that bootstrapping is the way things are done. I don't see any

Acupuncture, there has been so much FUD spread about alternative medicine that I have no idea what to trust anymore. It isn't even covered by most insurance. What is real, who to trust.
