As one might expect there are exceptions to this, I apparently happened to be in one of those orgs for 5 years. It was very outward-focused so not as tightly tied to the internal way of life, and was greedily dismembered by the empire-build

You do get used to it, but also the workflow is not entering words as much as it is things like waypoint codes, and a lot of numeric bits, which is why the number pad has its familiar layout.

Oooohhh!!! Back in the day I had an "opportunity" to implement a virtual CDU interface, even re-created that font to do it. It talked to a real FMC (and later anything on the ARINC 629 bus). Good times :)

About 7 weeks ago I picked up a new AT&T SIM to use for data backup while my fiber connection was out. Never placed _any_ calls and only 1 text to my current mobile number to capture the new number. I get 4-6 calls per day, most label

Do you only keep online passwords in your manager? I've got all sorts of things in mine, plenty that I might need without connectivity, such as the door code to that AirBnB or bank account numbers and PINs. Then again, I never would

Second Life is still a thing, or OpenSimulator if you really do want to do it all yourself :) FWIW, SL is finalizing the addition of PBR textures now and may go further WRT scene imports.

I went with Slicehost to Rax (as a customer) in that acquisition, overall it was as good as could be expected. Since Akamai isn't a PE firm (I think? :) there is hope for Linode
