Why do you think that use case is that common? And why do you think google maps should elevate that particular use case above other competing use cases?

There are some good points here, but of course I am going to ignore those to talk instead about the stuff I disagree with! The section about google maps follows a form of criticism that is widespread and particularly annoys me, namely =>

Do you have direct experience or knowledge of this? Cause this doesn't square with my anecdotal knowledge or my sense of the bay area labor market. For instance levels.fyi quotes total comp for mid level engineers in the 250 range, whi

This critique doesn't really make sense. `sleep 60` Because one interruption takes x amount of time to deal with and the other interruption takes x + 60 seconds of staring at a chat window that FEELS like 3 times as long

I put in my disclaimer out of sense of honesty. I'm a bike rider, I don't like cars either. As you can see however, my question is whether electric scooters with a three month lifespan can come out ahead in environmental savings.

Test save you time (maybe) in the long run. But in the search for product market fit, you may conceptualize, design, build, release and then scrap a feature within the course of a month. That's not a long enough lifespan for the tests
