People might find it intersting to know that in the car industry Gigabit Ethernet over unshielded twisted pair is common [1] since it allows to shave off some cents on extra copper. [1] http://www.marvell.com/company/ne

There is also a very fine difference in the exact wording. You might even have the choice to decide the location where the physical copy of the code is located (E.g. your office, not theirs / on the north pole) and they actually might

You might consider a career at some fortune 500 company (do not limit yourself to software companies here, every one of them has a large software department). My experience is that it involves a lot more communication and 'people skill

The 'when to travel' could be made dependend on where you live. When I lived in Norway I thought 25C is quite warm. Now that I live in south Germany I think 25C is more intermediate. Also in Spring, temperatures feel a lot higher

The problem is really the lack of a magnetic field. Even if you manage to increase the atmospheric pressure, ionizing particles strip it away. What you would need to build is a superconducting ring on the equator to generate a artificial ma

Here is a video of a home-built setup based on Raspberry-Pi [1] and an opensource software stack on a fixed-wing aircraft. For use on quadcopters the problem is the latency. Analog FPV systems can achieve around ~20ms latency. [1] https:&#

I'm a daily user of Python but the parallelization efforts really make me wonder. When things in Python are slow, its most likely something with native Python code (in contrast to e.g. Numpy). Wouldn't it then make more sense to r

If you have ever wondered about why one goes through the difficulties of the tritium fuel cycle: It's really politically motivated, so none of the participating countries has to rely on an external fuel supply.

From all I have read, lithium supply does not seem to be a major concern [1]. But if your numbers are correct, note that the currently mined lithium reservers are 14,000,000 tonnes [2]. 1 tonne lithium then gives you 10MWh of capacity. So 1
