Missing links to benchmarks. Also, Json is not really a good baseline for comparison. If you support binary data natively in the format, you should compare it to Bson.

I wonder why people/news seem so obsessed about the death rate itself, while ignoring the incidence of permanent organ tissue damage caused in survivors, as some papers already indicate. I'm assuming this has to be studied further

Well, Git itself is not a good tool for handling large dataset files. In most cases, you're not interested in deltas between commits. The size of your repo can also grow or of control pretty quickly. As a dirty workaround, you have Git
