It's not about bugs. I believe it's more for testing the market, and helping learn about how people would react to the product. Microsoft sometimes release products in New Zealand earlier than the rest of the world, because New Zealand is s

That permission is a lot. Some people may not be comfortable with this. I know some guy living in China who refuses to install anything on Mac that requires entering the password.

Looks neat. I just download it. Is there any reason it's a .pkg instead of a .App that can be dragged into Application folder?

Thanks for the reply. Glad to see some guy from Mozilla here! You are right there's no reason to believe that CNNIC has to be bad/evil/whatever, but we cannot assume CNNIC would never be bad/evil either. We have to look at its history, and

You are right. This one has nothing to do with root servers. But they are already able to fake certificate national wide. It's only one step from adding it into root server.

This reminds me the Firefox certificate "bug"[1] two years ago. A China certificate root server was added into trusted servers in Firefox and Chinese hackers started to submit bug report regarding this, since people don't trust certificate

The problem is that a wireless (802.11) interface can only join one SSID, and work in one of the modes (ad-hoc, wifi, AP) at one time. If like current phones on which there's only one wireless interface, when people are connected to Wifi, t

Considering the power consumption, bandwidth, etc., 802.11 Ad-hoc networks might be a great choice for this concept. Plus there's already OLSR[1] for handling multi-hop packets. Unfortunately currently mobile devices are only equipped with

Is it possible to direct the notification to bluetooth headset? Some bluetooth stereo headset can vibrate. I've been thinking about the same thing for iPad mini (talkatone instead of GrooveIP), but worried about the notification.

This must be off topic but it's the first time I know Wil Wheaton is a real person. I thought he was a virtual figure in The Big Bang Theory...

Just check the response time for clicking event. There's a short delay for HTML5 click (which is by design to differentiate click event and double-tap-to-zoom-in event). My guess is that, at least the list of conversation is in HTML5 for su

Am I the only one here who thinks that for personal use, owning a server in house is a better choice than using a hosted VPS or server? It's quite easy to get a decent micro HP server (even with SSD storage) within $1000, which would cost $

Great job! One of the concerns to use it might be: if the user want's to zoom in, and happens to be double tap on the FastClick enabled button, two separate click events would be triggered instead. I am wondering if it's possible to use thi

That interactive thing looks useful. It might be possible to build a music composer (website) using collective intelligence, i.e., producing music by taking people's response into consideration?
