Not a household item so much. But wood block prints. There are stores where you can browse thousands of them, many hidden gems. Perfect for framing and lighting up a wall.

Hey, thanks for the response. This does make sense. The group roles do seem relatively powerful. I guess what I'm probably getting at is how does it hold from a threat perspective? What is to stop an actor distributing something extra

Not sure if this question belongs on this post but kinda interested in how validation and e.g data schema enforcement work in local first / distributed infrastructure. Assume this is built into the way you think about the model (and my

100% .. Vue at least doesn't require a build step. That may also be the case with Svelte 5? But there are optimisations that a build brings.

I'll always start vanilla / build-less with best intentions. In fact, I often start sans JS too if I can get away with it. But inevitably the complexity of my projects increase. My patience with focus, refresh, review cycle crashe

I remember reading that many of the prints attributed to Hokusai are likely imitations of what was a fairly well known style at the time. Not sure how much truth there is to it? Can't find anything saying as much in a quick google. As

Lots of nice tricks in here, definitely fun! Only minor nitpick is that it departs fairly rapidly from the lede ... which espouses the dual virtues of an accessible and js-optional reading experience ;)

I've heard of these, they sound amazing! We get the odd Hercules moth in our backyard. Doesn't look anything like a bird close up, but it's so massive that when they get stuck in the house your first thought is that it's

Solid article! Important point I didn't see covered / worth noting with grid & flex layouts is visual vs logical tab orders ... Looking forward to a solution in upcoming specs https://developer.chrome.com/blog&

Personal biases abound in publicly funded news orgs, just as in private. But there are models where editorial independence is maintained .. including in Australia and the UK.

I put together a simple TST hack / extension that puts recently active tabs in the horizontal space (with a "user-defined" timeout). Have been using it actively for the last few years. https://gist.github.com/

Great article. For me it's creative use of tools by others - sometimes myself - in a non-standard way (sometimes that becomes standard!) that brings enlightenment. Be it language, source control, networking, you name it. Aside: assumin

Tend to agree ... with the added reflection that to a stylesheet, the DOM is the only worldview. Attributes - and the currently limited set of pseudo classes - afford its agency. If pseudos were extended to include all property state, DOM s

It works, that's true! It's just not designed or built to a very high standard (and I expect the arbitrators of the internet to build to a very high standard) ... So I'd say it's a quality issue. Massive assumption that

Nice Demo! Definitely agree with the lack of familiarity / tangential aspect comment. IMO your best bet is starting off with vanilla HTML + JS and then adding tooling as required / only if necessary. E.g. Vite is handy for bootstr

Always on the lookout for a quality (low/no js) CSS framework. One that uses sane structural paradigms and doesn't leave a build beholden to 3rd party documentation / questionable design decisions. One that is straightforward
