No, you start with a fulltime offer, it's just called "bootcamp". It's our way of doing all the HR stuff (paperwork, medical, legal, etc) + you taking some courses on areas you're interested in specific to fb + you

There's nothing legally requiring me to give any seats for investment though right? Reading through this and my gutt feeling is that if I had a company doing really well I would do my absolute best to not give up any control over it -

This is purely my preference, but anything customer facing would be a snoozefest for me. Most L6+ that I've met in infra are incredibly sharp, and there's tons of interesting problems being solved in infra/core systems right

Yes www still uses hack. No we probably won't ever migrate to another language for www. That being said, I don't think anything BUT www is written in hack.

It makes the barrier to entry MUCH, MUCH higher. First you have to unpack a binary, THEN you have to fixup any custom VM call that it makes. Basically only incredibly specialized people/groups will be able to do this. Contrasting to ga

Probably not WHATEVER, but what's approved by legal. React currently isn't because of the license/company that owns it I believe.

Currently trying to find a new framework to do a front-end with because the company I'm currently interning doesn't allow React :^) Looking at angular code, it's pretty ugly. What would be the next best thing to look at? Vue?
