I'd say study how antiwork got started. When you get a lot of eyes on an idea real change can happen. In the past, your whole community needed to feel that change was necessary otherwise people would just accept the current situation.

Same. And yet so many people are unwilling to take the leap of faith. It's sad because the same thinking patterns that cause them to avoid Sarno likely lead to a lot of grief in other areas of their lives.

I agree with everything you're saying except for your usage of purpose. To me, life is not about doing meaningful and purposeful things. It's about satisfying yourself. With the right incentives, we can satisfy ourselves in ways t

Ask some people if they know of any parties happening. Try taking some herbal medicines to calm down your anxiety.

My takeaway is that people who aren't self aware are less likely to be able to change for the better. Which I can agree with. How does one become self aware though?

Make sure you thoroughly test your multi-region deploys. Last time we tried the system was not stable when a region went down. Also beware of this anti pattern: https://www.cockroachlabs.com/docs/stable/topology-pa

If there are a lot of interviewers like that FB guy on teamblind who just searches for the hardest question and fails everyone for the tiniest error because he's fed up with the interview process, then yeah, there are problems.

> never ever pointing out she'd made a mistake This is such a key skill. It's important to judge whether a person is open to feedback or not. A lot people assume others are open to hearing criticism. If your manager is a narcis

Another way to look at this is that this person was far too invested in their work and as a result had a negative experience. It's likely they would have similar anxiety issues in most workplaces. Easy to blame a toxic culture. Much ha

Unfortunately that still doesn't increase the supply. If Sweden, like Canada, is experiencing higher population growth than housing growth, prices will continue increasing. There are simply not enough places to live.

If they want to make the biggest impact they should still sell the oil but invest in technology that might mitigate climate change. Playing defense when your overall impact on climate change is so small is a poor choice.

Life opportunity cost. When you buy a house you are making a big commitment. It will guide the path of your life. These days with remote work that's less and more of an issue. What if you would be happier living in the south of France?
