Forbes refuses to even load the front page if it is not allowed to store cookies on your computer. Cookies are for keeping logged in state. They are not needed to display html. But I don't need Forbes so it's ok.

I run the same thing and have zero complaints. The only app I've found that actually requires Google services to start is YouTube. A lot of other apps pops up a dialog saying they need Google services but then work perfectly without it

It's not heavy at all. I was running it on a dual core 0.9 Ghz CPU for a long time and it reacts instantly to anything you do. CPU usage for deepin was like 3% when idle on that slow machine.
