Google recently flagged my content-curation startup as "Pure Spam", even though it only takes small snippets from the original sources, is 100% human curated, and always links back to the true original source. Not only are the cur

Europe (every country I've experienced) is obsessed with hiring based on online profiles (github, linkedin, websites, etc.) I have a feeling that they're going to learn about this the hard way.

Loans -- NO! A common thing I see in most of Europe is that everyone assumes that loans can only be good. Few have seen how much they have destroyed people's lives as has been increasingly happening in the US. Add to that, most of Euro

That's how I think too. Find the low-hanging fruit of real problems, instead of competing for a rounding error on constrained and slightly artificial problems.

I would have guessed the exact opposite, that early-stage investors behave like binary classifiers who've been tuned to make a huge tradeoff of lower recall, in exchange for higher precision.

Is the 20% failure that rate that YC attributes directly to fights between cofounders actually much higher than it should be? Is this simply because YC is forcing people to match up to cross the eligibility threshold? I'm not sure they

Yes, this is very accurate. In order to understand Blackberry, you have to understand who their users were. These people are all in NYC, and these different values won't be obvious to the SF startup crowd.

I would buy the shit out of Z10 with a keyboard+pointer. Until a new decent keyboard phone comes out, I'm sticking with my Torch 9800. Also have an HTC One and often use a SG4. Wow, awful. And I hate games.
