This is the perfect example of a result that arises when people disconnected from the internet think "OK, what can we do against piracy? Wait, piracy is a crime, and the best thing we can do to reduce crime is education. So why not educate

This is awesome. I have had third-party cookies disabled in Chrome for a long time now, and I rarely experienced any issues with embeds (Disqus being the noteworthy exception). While Idespise third-party tracking embeds in general, they hav

What's different (from a quick look at ronin) is that this actually runs the assembled code within the currently running ruby interpreter . That's a lot more than a DSL for creating assembly.

This reminds me of a talk about Evolution of Code at Facebook [1]. One of the first architectural restructurings (and still the major driving factor behind later changes) was the switch from sequential memcache_get to parallel memcache_mult

"Big O" notation only cares about the (largest) exponent of n, so O(n) = O(n/2).

To round this up, we Germans just got evened out ;) In the men's team semi final, Peter Joppich fought the final match against Yūki Ōta. In the extended time, Joppich scored a single hit which was apparently not counted because Joppich obsc

Yes, the real failure in this case is not technical, but social. Especially that they forced her to stay on scene during the entire decision process.

No problem. My guess is that they round the displayed clock up instead of down, so 00:00 automatically means the end of the match, and any split second left shows 00:01 to let everyone know that it's not over yet.
