Firstly, don't get discouraged just because the questions are hard. A lot of these concepts were cracked by dudes like Von Neumann who spent years trying to figure out stuff like graph theory and backtracking. Calculus seems hard at fi

I haven't heard of half of these or been to Europe for that matter, but it's cool insight. What was your path as an entrepreneur to be able to afford to go to these events?

Wow it seems like back then there was a much higher concentration of founders/vc people on here. Just goes to show how big tech has gotten over the last 14 years.

What life choices did you make to be able to have access to private equity markets but also go to month-long festivals? Also what festivals are a month long? I have a feeling we may be in different tax brackets haha.

I don't have anything to contribute, but the fact that you are in a senior position of an important project is good news to hear. I have been anxious for some time that my horrible working memory and executive function are going to stu

Every industry murders people. Car companies have risk analysts determine how many people have to die before it's worth it to issue a recall. Food companies cause diabetes and heart disease in an effort to make food more addictive to i

I think you are conflating two different ideas. The first being that automation destroys jobs, that has been disproven. But automation does increase productivity to the point of one person being able to do the work of ten or a hundred. Mean

Exactly. If you actually want people to reproduce then the economy should be organized to maximize the fulfillment, comfort, and security of individuals. The real issue is they (our leaders and corporations) need an ever-increasing pool of

I don't think the way the issue is currently framed is concerned about long-term extinction. All of the low-birthrate articles I read are from the POV of "how do we artificially prop up birth-rates to continue the infinite growth

I fail to see why this is an issue. What did we expect, for the human population to grow exponentially on a planet of finite resources? The question should not be "how to get birthrates back up" but how to ensure a decent quality

I personally really like Martin Shkreli's advice on investing which is the same as Buffett and Graham's investing principles: 0. Don't try to make your money investing, learn a skill and develop it to get paid. 1. Find an und

I have had a similar experience. My current strategy is to find a place where I am the least useful person in the room, over time my competency will expand until I stop being challenged. Once that happens move on to another place where I am

As someone from Oklahoma, just use grass. Lots of overflow lots already have grass. It's literally a prairie with wildgrass that has deep roots. If continuous high-traffic isn't a concern then grass is a perfect alternative.
