sometimes the best way to test a fix to something, before you make it permanent in the deployment-as-code, is to test it on the box. This just makes you sure actually go back and change the deploy code, else it breaks in ~2 days.

> already owns or is on their way to purchasing a home This is insane. I get why some people want to live in the bay area, but I'll take my 4k square feet home in the great neighboorhood with the award winning schools for 300k.

> We would ask permission They asked each user for permission to look at their social graph, in an app designed for this task (Obama election).

As a manager, if I fire somebody or they leave, I get access to their mailbox via Outlook365 for like 3 months, just in case I need to grab something from it. So there must be a way to assign ownership of a mailbox to another user.

Get a Pixel2. It feels like an iPhone did 5-6 years ago.

I just recently switched from an iPhone8 to a Pixel2. Google Assistant is way better. It's faster, more accurate, and can do more. I use it for all sorts of things that I would never try to get Siri to do.

It's not as uncommon as HN makes you believe these days. I've been at a place for 11 years, moving to new projects every few years, gotten large pay raises over the years to keep ahead of market. It's possible, and it'

Just want to say that giving many examples of users of your site with links as replies is a genius way to show off your existing customers. It doesn't feel like spam, more like examples with proof. Good luck!

Frozen vegetables aren't bad for you. Definitely agree about finding healthy food on the go. Mostly salads.
