Yeah I’ve thought that too. He seems to have very good editorial control and access to decent no-name actors. His channel is really great.

When you consider that Google is optimizing its experience for the idiot-consumer everything they’re doing makes sense. Google isn’t for us so this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise or insult.

How is this even allowed? If my tax dollars go to a federal effort to develop software, if it isn’t classified and it is released how can they restrict me from using it legally? I partially funded it even if it was only one billionth of a p

To me it feels like GM realizes that Apple is commoditizing them. Making the car essentially a dumb-terminal for the Apple experience (as they want to do for other cars we well). GM now has a choice: (1) allow apple to make the GM car exper

Yup. It's all show. A service has injected itself between you and your goal, it's going to periodically impede you from reaching that goal and then lie to you about why, all while making money off of the arrangement.

It’s an argument tactic that works on people who need precompiled opinions. Redefine something in a very qualified way that maneuvers around the issue and that a non-thinking person wouldn’t notice and then say “see! A =! B” and the non-thi

Agreed. It is the year of the linux desktop. I installed Pop OS and everything works great right out of the box. It's now good enough that I could install it on my mom's computer.

Ok wow, seeing these lists might have just made a customer out of me. I’ve been vaguely aware of Kagi and know the general premise but this made it real.

“beyond their own death” I wouldn’t be so quick to judge, they may merely have a different definition of death than you do. In fact, it’s quite likely the line you’ve drawn for what death means to you would be sacrilegious in a previous tim

At this point I’m worn out, owning this thing has been a complete nightmare and a mistake. An underperforming battery is the least of my problems so far. Also there’s no point because Tesla routinely lies about repairs on my car. It’s been

I’ve consistently only gotten about 80% of what my mileage counter reports as available. And that figure drops significantly as the battery approaches lower percentages. It’s as if the battery starts “collapsing” below 60 miles remaining.

Yup. You can even put lead in their family’s water on base and there isn’t shit they can do about it. Leadership is easy in a system when broadly accepted ethical and moral norms don’t factor into your decision making.

I don’t understand how this is security. Wouldn’t an adversary just listen on all channels and pick up the rest of the communication on the newly detected frequency?

Recently I contacted an app’s support LLM and it lied to me about a feature existing and even argued with me when I pointed out it was wrong, even saying things like “I didn’t say that”.

Possibly because all that novelty and interesting stuff in the real world is owned by someone. In an open world game I can go explore someone’s house or steal a limeware platter but if I do that in real life I’ll get arrested. Not fun.

This quote never made sense to me. My decision to prefer one of these over the other doesn't mean I don't deserve either. It's a decision I make with my own unique economic and threat parameters. Being "deserving" p
