An example of highly relevant, yet flagged with political motivation. We should try and do better than that.

There's nothing wrong in principle with the text interface installer. I liked it, back then.

Alongside privacy and security, knowing how to be in control of notifications rather than the other way around has become an essential skill. It should really be block by default, enable in a case per case basis. But there are perverse ince

Different focus. Krita is for free drawing, gimp is a photoshop replacement. I do agree they probably would benefit from trying Krita.

Greaseweazle + any old standard floppy drive (3.5"/5.25"/8") is the way to go, for having a usb attached floppy drive. Avoid usb fdds, they are burdened with a controller that do not allow track read/write, ma

There's also the Framework option now. It took them a while to, but they finally offer boards based on AMD chips. I don't need an upgrade now, but I feel a RISC-V framework is feasible once I do.

Great, an open (and better!) alternative to FPGBC, which FPGA is locked to encrypted and signed configurations. There's also the Chromatic, but that one is not made to be cost effective.

Can't say about AAC, have never tried. Vorbis fooled me at 160-192 territory... over a decade ago. Opus is very hard, even at 128kbps, tested relatively recently (3-5yr ago)

Indeed, it is quite possible to tell mp3 from flac in double blind test, with a good pair of ears and cheap (but well-measuring) audio equipment.

There's a simple tool to figure it out. It's called double blind test. I went through it, and could tell mp3 (lame) from lossless, with high confidence. Many people I know and trust not to make shit up have done the same. Parent l

I hope these connectors are transitional and limited to NVIDIA, and not something that the industry adopts moving forward. Instead, a proper standard should be developed.

There's ways to do that with the miSTer as well. Most don't, just because inconvenient. For most, SRAM savegame dumping is plenty.

miSTer is an open source ecosystem with open source cores. The SuperNT uses a proprietary core from Analogue. I fully prefer an open source core I can fix/modify, YMMV.

There's a little serial port in the header of every Seagate drive. I have connected to it. Documentation is easy to find online. There's commands giving access to a lot of functionality. Modifying SMART values is trivially done. T
