My take is that code is disposable, and often needs to be written to figure out what is really needed, then disposed off. Learning this is worth writing the otherwise useless code.

Don't get them wrong: It is about the power. They get a kick out of being able to impose upon others. Forever miserable people who wish to make everyone else miserable as well.

There's none. RISC-V is inevitable. Intel will simply miss the train, and go under. Unlike Intel, AMD isn't clueless. After Zen6, it will likely release good RISC-V chips with some sort of x86 acceleration for unprivileged code as

The LGB and then LGBT and then LGBT++ thing is the result of a destructive, diluting strategy known as co-opting. Something similar was attempted against atheism. ("Atheism+")

While they also deserve some backlash, I would focus on bringing attention to the payment processors.

It depends on the adult content. Actual porn OK. Onlyfans OK. But fiction, for some reason, is not.

Best to form your own opinion. e.g. What are the facts, and who is trying to suppress them / why.

Reminder: Haswell and Zen1 were around 8.1 specint2006/GHz. These CPUs are above that.

This is the first release with support for RISC-V, at the same level as arm64 or amd64. For half a year now, I've run trixie on RISC-V (VisionFive 2 board), with ZFS root, without issue.

Interesting. That's a lot of money, and quite dubious use. IANAL, but I can't help but wonder if the use of blatant lies to gather donations might constitute fraud.

I suspect most A1200 owners today have a 030 or better accel board mounted. Still, I feel careful programming should have enabled it to work with just the onboard 020 and a fast ram expansion.

If your argument is money, you are overlooking that a metal detector is really cheap, a practically invisible cost when next to that of the MRI machine. Thus, it makes sense for regulations to mandate such a life-saving metal detector.

Note the 4GB boot issue is only an issue if you use the netbsd bootblock to boot. If loading the kernel with "loadbsd" from AmigaOS, you can have your netbsd partitions above 4GB just fine. The (only?) annoyance is that you need a

Yes. The main issue with BSD is its proliferation of versions, incompatible with each other. If you're comparing a specific version straight with MIT, this is not evident.

AmigaOS 4.x is a very different system altogether. Most people on classic Amiga hardware are running some version of AmigaOS 3. Last 3.x release was mere months ago. There's a complicated legal history around AmigaOS and other Amiga IP

This is just somebody's "finished" pet protocol (author did not allow anybody to give input). Narcissism we should not enable. I will stick to gopher, as it is mature and much friendlier to low spec / retro machines.
