Cloudflare has a thing called HTMLRewriter that is both a streaming HTML parser and selector for changing it. It's very efficient and let you change only the places you need. For your example, you can just match in `[id^="insert&q

I wonder how useful this is to be placed inside a van for that tiny "bathroom" area. We drive most of the day so the clothes can be dry in there, if the energy usage is efficient. Of course, clothes can be hung outside for the war

I was excited to use this in my Demo project, but `import from "node:@tailwindcss/postcss@latest"` throws error about the `exports` field in package.json. With that aside, the blog post mentions not having to use `postcss-imp

Coincidentally, I was just reading about how VSCode support WASM on their web edition[1] and this was mentioned in their effort to implement the Terminal. [1] https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2023/06/05

I have always been fascinated by those sci-fi movies in which a person would swipe up on their tablet, and the current window would fly to another monitor. This maybe be something that can achieve that.

Can't find out if this supports encryption, or streaming from stdin and/or to stdout. I haven't found one zip tool that does the above.

A lot of these tools convert .osm.pbf provided by OSM to.mbtiles. If only OSM provides the .mbtiles directly, then we don't waste many other servers many hours converting them. Especially the planet one.

This would be quite convenient when dealing with MBtiles files hosted on S3 or similar. There are efforts such as PMTiles[1] that let us use HTTP Range query to retrieve tiles directly from S3, but we still have to convert MBTiles to PMTile

Couple counter points: Appliances shipped from Costco.com are in their original packaging. They usually come with damages. I have had a couple items that I had to bring them back to the store to return. Another thing is how they choose whic

I'm no stranger to Node.js, but everytime I want to start a project with it, I need to setup package.json, install TypeScript, Ava/Jest/Mocha or what have you, a bundle tool like rebuild, and then I can start writing code. If

I find Deno very interesting. It's written in Rust by Mozilla, executing TypeScript by Microsoft on V8 engine by Google, and its name is sorted version of Node. That aside, I have been very productive with Deno. Web Standards are going

I love projects like this. I have recently used `shell2http` for quick server setup that interacts with command line tools like `rclone`. I even wrote a little `shell2discord` library for similar purpose. But `QuickServ` seems to offer more

This is timing. I was just looking for a solution for a friend who has very bad eyesight due to accident. They want to be able to listen to news articles and such. It would be nice if we can choose languages other than English.

I'm a huge fan of Erlang and Elixir, but everytime I need to write a cross platform command line tool, I always have to look at Go or Rust. Is building release better now with Elixir? Can I run `mix release` and get a single binary fil

I really love esbuild. Its speed is amazingly fast, and my node_modules folder is so clean. But not being able to transpile to ES5 makes it a hard choice to use in client-facing projects, where IE11 is not totally dead (yet). Its doable to

A quick note is that by using CSS grid, margins are not collapsed. For the example in the article, the heading and the paragraph are rows, so if they have top and bottom margins, they will be further apart than normally. This can break desi

I wonder how this would help with WebView. I develop an extension that loads the page inside the WebView, but having to use the WebView's inspector sucks. If this new tool can let other extension use it's panels, it would be aweso

I may be missing something here, but... all that for a hit counter? Even using React for the front-end seems overkill for a little widget.
