It seems grass is always greener on the other side. I'm from Eastern Europe and work remotely for a Western European company which is very beneficial from the financial point of view. Schengen Agreement makes it also very convenient to

Could anybody explain why some people say the weather in SF is amazing and some others that it's rubbish? I've never been to California.

Semi-related story of mine: 1. Stumble upon some specific problem with a web framework we use. 2. Jump straight to stackoverflow. 3. Sbd had a similar issue, nice. 4. Sbd wrote a very concise answer, nice too. 5. There's my nickname un

I'm wondering how one converts to a data scientist or ML engineer from a pure web development background without going back to school? I've been a backend developer for many years and I'm already a bit bored with working on s

I had exactly the same thoughts when I stumbled upon it wandering around the downtown late at night. It was dark, I was alone in the patio and the building front looked amazingly scary.

If you are buying a CPU for gaming you would be better off with i5-8400 which is half the price and performs equally well in most games. Oh, and it comes with a stock cooler (8600k and 8700k don't).

Maybe it has something to do with the film being able to capture a larger spectrum of colors, the "analog feel" in general or the ability to scan it to higher resolutions in the future when technology advances? None of these seem

Less sodium, yes. More protein? Of course not. Lean meat contains around 20-25% of protein. Do you know of any plant that could compare?

I envy your positive attitude. 3k€ of disposable salary per month in a huge European metropolis like Paris seems very low to me. That's roughly what a web developer with 3-5 years of experience can get in a mid-sized (400-600k) city he

Haha. Funny to read this as I have similar feeling most of the time, but the reason is that I almost never tip. I know I might be considered an a-hole, but I just cannot justify paying additional 10-20% for the "how's your meal&qu
