It's so true though! My husband and I have compromised so that we are both dissatisfied with our bedroom temperature.

I believe this. I love the idea of StitchFix but have not had great experiences with them. I finally had a stylist explain that they just don't get much inventory that matches my style preferences. This makes perfect sense, since they

The first time I tried reading it, I gave up after about 20 pages. I had the same reaction to the language you did. Tried again about 5 years later and loved it. I suppose you just have to be in the right mindset when you approach it.

How long ago was that? I had my son three years ago, and breastfeeding was pushed pretty heavily at the hospital, with lactation consultants galore.

Apple Watch can't detect long QT, which is one of the risk factors here.

Yeah, most days I am therapist/coach/mom, and while I think I'm actually pretty decent at it, it's not what I want to be doing. It's emotionally exhausting and rarely rewarding.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I'm currently interviewing for individual contributor roles and trying to accept the fact that I'm going to have to take a pay cut. I think it will be worth it, though, to feel like I'm

I think everybody thought you were talking about "fancy private" elementary/high schools, which is definitely not a middle class thing. Private college/university is a totally different matter.

When we got my son tested to see if there was a genetic cause for his hearing loss, there was an incidental finding that he had a mutation that could lead to Long QT Syndrome (an arrhythmia that can cause cardiac arrest during exercise or e

Oh yes, I agree, Peanut is terrible. I recently moved to a new area and left all my mom friends behind, so I was desperate for a way to find new ones, but it's useless. There needs to be an OK Cupid for moms.

One category that's missing on the left is "Parents." There's Tinder for parents (Peanut), Birchbox for parents (multiple subscription boxes). It would be interesting to think about what Uber or AirBnB for parents would

I'm in a rather isolated place (I work remotely) so I need to find another remote gig. I'm also a UX designer, not a developer, so the market isn't quite as hot. The nice thing about remote though, is that it's easy for

Are you working on my project? I'm trying to get out, but not having much luck. I wonder if recruiters are turned off by the fact that I'm looking for another job again after just a few months.

I remember as a young kid thinking that it would make me look cute and creative if I had an imaginary friend (because apparently that was a thing kids were supposed to do). I couldn't keep it up - it just didn't really make sense

I assure you that UX designers (the real ones, at least) would love to get out of their ivory towers. In every job I have had, I have begged to get out and talk to users before doing anything else. However, that idea makes folks in charge n

One of the great things about an IUD (the hormonal ones at least) is that it often makes your period stop. I used a cup with mine for a few months without a problem, but then stopped needing a cup at all.

Are people lazy, or do they have much more important things to concern themselves with? I'd rather get work done and spend time with my family than spend time looking for the "ideal" way to listen to music.
