Compensation for an interview for a job that even poorly compensated would put you in the top 5%? Talk about privilege. I'll happily do the interview on my own time for that potential payout. Push back? I'll be taking your job

This is a great response and yes something I didn't really think about with the original idea. Considering actual, real world hardware as you point out, it is not a very good idea.

The problem with the rpi is it's basically a gpu with a cpu bolted on. All the power is in the gpu.

Yep it's about latency. Even 1ms can be unacceptable depending on the situation. We currently don't have an option for that other than going native.

I'm still waiting for a lock-free, zero latency GC that runs on its own core. I believe this might exist for java but not .net.

Yep that's right. It relied on autorun to install the driver when the CD was inserted. If that was disabled and the driver never installed then it was just normal 'bluebook' CD.

The driver was pretty simple. When a CD was inserted, it checked for a watermark and if there, returned pseudo random sectors of data. To play the CD on PC required using their software player. The software player had the ability to rip

I wrote a good portion of MediaMax. I told them it was illegal when they asked me to load the driver before the user accepted the EULA. They said it was a legal 'grey area'. I quit shortly there after. AMA

You are really trying to entice me to open up UE5 again, aren't you :P I opened it, saw verse script was nowhere to be found, and quickly closed it.

Before Blueprints there was Kismet. My last kismet project looked like an ER diagram for a government database. Kismet had decent grouping objects to where you could organize your Kismet, but even my largest and most complex kismets could

UT4 is still a free game with some community content. With no scripting support, adding content like vehicles is pretty much impossible. Blueprints are not sufficient for such a task. A few people implemented them but requires C++ and the
