I still make mods in Unreal Tournament. Unrealscript has its warts but does the job admirably. I can't look at Versescript without thinking that Unrealscript was better.

Calling Visual Studio 'less powerful' than GDB is telling. When you have a bug that doesn't happen until hours into your program execution, being able to set a breakpoint, edit-and-continue, and set-next-statement are worth t

Arguing features vs performance is really about which features are more important. Performance is just another feature. I use Vim and I use VSCode. There is little debate about which has better performance and which has more features. It

Intel has e.g. push all/pop all instructions. It doesn't save everything needed for setjmp/longjmp (like fpu state) but does a decent job.

One Plus is ok for a generic android experience, but there are some caveats. I couldn't for the longest time do simple things like scan a QR code. Everybody else in the world just points their camera app at the QR code and it works.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. C++ jobs always pay like shit, so I sling web apis together with C# and make 3x as much. It's way easier and less stressful. I'll only use C++ for hobby projects now, and then only if it's th
