Of course it is painful to implement a seconds provider for backup, but payments are their lifeline. And PayPal has a track record for stuff like that. Never rely your whole business on PayPal!

Well no. A Global latency of 2.8 ms is just bullshit. As others pointed out, they did not beat the speed of light. I hate stuff like this. If you really have a worthy product just point out what it really can do, not what in a lab environ

Well remove cyclists from streets. Its as simple as that. Remove humans from streets. Also remove all cars from the streets that need a driver. It will happen sooner or later. Humans will eventually be the single point of failure.

You are completely right. There are reasons to oppose the cloud, but maybe they should focus on improving their systems before moving out of the cloud. At this point in time it is clear that GitLab lacks the talent to run everything themsel
