How much of $100 bill use is for legitimate reasons versus illicit ones? If the overwhelming majority of the transactions are illicit, it makes sense to ban the $100 bill.

Financial technologies that serve the public must always have mechanisms for fraud mitigation and allow a human-in-the-loop to reverse transactions; blockchain permits neither. Human-in-the-loop is costly. Twitter, Youtube and card payme

Correct. Finex may have started out on shaky ground, but now passed a NYAG lawsuit and is working to become more legit. Even the CEO is out in public now doing podcasts and he never used to be. The only way USDT fails now is a concerted

Exchanges like Binance, FTX and Bitfinex are all Tether supporters, and will not let if fail - or they go down too. Since they themselves hold a larger portion of it, they can in a sense, control if it fails or not.

Clients have successfully redeemed 10% of outstanding USDT, which happens to be the fractional reserve requirement for major US banks. Evidence they are at least as liquid as any US bank is required to be. https://www.investop

The fact the NYAG settled for $18.5M is as concrete as it gets. If there were more wrong doing than a frozen bank account, why would NYAG settle with no wrongdoing admitted?

The early days of crypto were an under-regulated wild west but most projects are now moving from sleazy to more formal regulation. There is evidence that Tether is making moves to improve.
