The ones that I have had the most "See Note 7"* moments with have been large multifunction workgroup printers that you would find in any office - of varying manufacturers. these printers all claim to have mac drivers, and generally these c

So, uh, your backup strategy is "buy two computers for every employee?" INteresting, but hardly cost-effective.

You seem to not know anything about this, so I'll cut you some slack even though your wording is slightly offensive. Worker owned cooperatives aren't some kind of pie-in-the sky idea tat has never been tried. they make up a large portion o

Or you could stop all government subsidies to corporations and set up a business tax structure that is heavily favorable to worker-owned cooperatives at the expense of shareholder-owned corporations. Corporations are just machines for extr

This has nothing to do with Obama. STS was planned for decommission in the Bush era. Blaming it on Obama is reactionary tripe. Also, Soyuz is STILL the most reliable launch system on the planet after Delta II, and the most reliable manned

"but are currently afraid to do so due to per-pressure and the threat of retaliatory violence?" You can't be serious. What "threat of retaliatory violence"? And to answer your question, approximately none.

I think that may be the first time I've heard Science and Engineering referred to as special interests. Given the key role they play in pretty much everything we take for granted in a modern technological society, I would describe funding

Sure, I manage servers in the US, Japan and Australia so I'm well acquainted with how latency sucks. I was questioning the idea that there was a possibility of "an extra 100-1000 millisecond trip each way" - Taken literally, this would mea
