Absolutely, or similarly in response to a detailed blog post or product release: "Actually this could never work because [reason I just thought of]"

Japan has better WLB than the US? Are you sure? This sounds very anecdotal. > Americans are increasingly worked to the bone. There seems to be no end to stories about people working 3 job, never having vacation, sometimes not even weeken

Can anyone from SF vouch for this? I went there recently and it seemed fine, not sure if I just got lucky.

Not OP but yeah, it tends to take a day or two after the API break for the devs to put out a new release. Of course this is understandable though! YouTube is the one breaking the API and the devs react really quickly which is great.

On newpipe you can disable a lot of YouTube features, it might get you part of the way. For example you can disable related/suggested videos and the 'popular' tab, then you can only see things through search or links.

Hi Dang, this article has been used as a strawman in many places ("eat the bugs, live in the pod") but I think the article itself has some good insight, e. g. it's true that there has been a shift from owning to renting/

As TFA says, you arrest them and give them due process, and hold the state accountable for any mistakes in the process. Are you suggesting an 'eye for an eye' penal code? e. g. you would suggest punishing an arsonist by burning th

Yeah, you could just as well say "the world owes Warren Buffett 100B in goods and services". Yes, Delta owes it in a sense but it's really just a statement of how many outstanding points there are.

Agreed in general but for bots it anecdotally seems to be the case. For example Massan was blatantly viewbotting for a long time but he wasn't banned for several months at least (I don't remember the time).

Twitch famously does not ban people for botting unless they have evidence that the streamer themselves ordered the bots. https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/how-to-handle-view-follow-b...

I think to rephrase the parent comment, the issue is that you're making an argument from hipocrisy. You're saying that free-market people should be ok with this but (it sounds like) you also don't subscribe to the free-market

What's bad for the community? If people are building things with AWS I prefer that they're productive with it. If this helps developer productivity then that seems like a win. You said that it will act as a funnel for AWS services

It's interesting that you seem to think this is a bad thing. If you can't buy a house when no one wants one, when do you consider it permissible to buy one?

I understand that, but at some point someone will call toRGB. It seems like for any function that calls toRGB, we have a choice of using the existential type for this e.g. someFunc :: SomeColor -> ... someFunc (SomeColor color)

The 'just move' argument doesn't work. People want to live here and improve the country at the same time. Likewise, someone may say to someone who advocates for higher taxes 'waive you citizenship and move to Sweden,
