What's missing in .net core/standard for it to be a Java alternative today? I work with .net on windows so I'm not sure.

Cool, thanks for the paper. It looks interesting from the abstract.

Do we have something to compare this number to? Don't we expect most crimes to not go to trial, if the convicted person agrees that they committed the crime?

The parent comment was comparing Android with JingOS, not iOS.

There are other productive activities besides those that increase your wealth. For example, if I'm trying to learn an instrument, then I would consider practicing to be a productive activity. In this sense productivity is not a scam at

My understanding of what you said is that most productive things we do are for someone else's benefit, therefore we shouldn't have an interest in tracking our productivity. But why not argue the following instead: Most productive

Is this a criticism of the format? What format would you suggest that doesn't have this quality?

I don't see why this would be a meaningful comparison. Employees make wages, not profits. They do not expect to share profit with their employer. If the company made a loss, they would rightfully not share the loss either.

I was curious about this function: fun addRefs( a : forall<h> ref<h,int>, b : forall<h> ref<h,int> ) : total () { a := 10; b := 20; return (!a + !b); } Why is it t

I think something like this exists, where you can schedule time with someone to work over video so that you can stay focused. I've seen it mentioned before on here but I don't remember the name.

I would find this more compelling if you gave examples or countries that had a stronger response, otherwise I don't see a reason to criticize this move.

I'm surprised that you didn't know that before, and that you learned this from the article, considering that there's no mention of privilege in it.

`on` runs a binary function by first running a unary function on each argument. Prelude> import Data.Function (on) Prelude Data.Function> :t on on :: (b -> b -> c) -> (a -> b) -> a -> a -> c Prelude Data

Why would we judge them by that standard? Monads are useful models for plenty of things. That has nothing to do with how many monad tutorials are out there.

Yes, some sites are more resilient somehow. I experience the same thing with twitter. You could try flushing your dns cache but IIRC that didn't even work for me.

I don't understand what should be done then. If the government isn't capable of providing that kind of help, then surely it isn't capable of eliminating all billionaires?
