I believe it will, it won't be until you push up to an 8k display that you'll get the old level of scaling back (could be wrong though as I don't have a way to test this).

In my case it's a standard LG UltraFine 4K monitor plugged into a standard 16" M5 MacBook Pro via standard Thunderbolt (via USB-C) - not sure what's not normal about this? I've confirmed it with other monitors and M5 Mac

Thanks, it was a good portion of my weekend bashing my head against the keyboard trying to figure out what was going on and if there was a workaround I could use (there isn't that I've found).

For me it would be 16-27" 4k is fine, but and as you go up to 32" I'd be wanting 5 or 6k ideally as it's quite noticable for text (even when high DPI scaling is working and across operating systems).

I spent the better part of the weekend trying to figure out why text was blurry on when using external displays on our new M5 Macbook Pros. Turns out unless you run macOS at a very low UI scale (making everyting look huge on a 4k display) i

Yeah I'm aware it sort of is (technically it's Latvian and there's a Russian holding company that owns that I think?) but at least it is open source and can be run locally and offline without any network connection (I have th

Most of these modern devices share a common very low quality head setup, I can't speak this exact model but in most cases you're far better off buying an older Sony or Panasonic device.

Not related to donations but product wise Libreoffice just feels so clunky and Java-ish to use. I switched to OnlyOffice a year ago and other than its almost complete lack of settings it's been so much nicer to use.

Ah yes, came to say something similar, Python dependencies are an absolute nightmare, even with uv it feels like there's always a battle to make other peoples Python apps install. Update: It looks like it doesn't work with the cur

Interesting, that seems very short sighted on GitHub's behalf - I wonder what their reasoning is?

Why does it require write access to change my Github profile and act on my behalf before I've decided if I want it to make any changes?

That is an insane amount of money for just 32GB of RAM! That's what we were paying back when it was hard to use more than 32-64GB in a desktop setting. These days with all the electron and node bloatware, containers everywhere and AI -

I don't really get what is different about this from how almost everyone else uses Claude Code? This is an incredibly common, if not the most common way of using it (and many other tools).

Looks like the blog is down, but I'm going to assume it's someone complaining about the number of AI related projects in Show HN, personally I often look at Show HN for interesting AI related projects.
