It's absolutely stupid here in Australia - I can't believe we still have it. It makes the winters in Melbourne so depressing when it gets dark as soon as you finish work - it feels like you have no time / life in the evenings

I think it's awesome, just the kind of fun thing they'd do.

I really enjoy Portugal. The Man, so many good days in the sun playing their music over the years.

It was the annoying feel good backing music that got me.

Really? You think Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook etc…. Are well regulated? The US has shown time and time again it’s complete incompetence when it comes to meaningful regulation of large companies.

Oh you really don’t want to see HA’s code… to write even a basic plugin is insanely over-complicated and clunky.

A few things to keep in mind: What about the graphics and neural processors integrated into that chip? How do they compare to the M3 Max? What’s the state of the Linux drivers and AI workload acceleration for them? Does it keep its cool und

Nice UI, really great! I've submitted you a couple of PRs that add support for custom OpenAI compatible API endpoints (local llms / llama etc...), upgraded the project to the supported current node LTS 20 version, updated your Doc

Yeah ok interesting! Makes sense for the Linux parts - not sure I’d trust Google with my family’s data but that doesn’t mean they’re not useful.

Considering they used to offer a 5K iMac that could be upgraded with 32GB of RAM back in what? 2016?…

I’ve never even seen a Chromebook in real life here in Australia. I’m sure they must exist but I’ve never heard of anyone using one.

You are speaking my language! Love it. If local LLMs are coming soon(ish) you’ve just got yourself a customer and one that loves promoting the tools they use. It’ll be great when it’s on the App Store too of course for a little more securit

Is this a native app, or an electron chrome wrapper? *edit: Just downloaded it, while I can't seem to find a way to try its functionality without purchasing - it does look like a native app which is awesome! Only 27MB of memory and no

What about the rest of the world? The USD has been so over valued for so long your price rises have a much larger impact globally. $60USD is a whopping $95AUD and has been for some time.

If you were to ask me what feature did I wish LMStudio had that if FreeChat had - would make me use it it would probably be really tight macOS integration. Perhaps sort of similar to how something like https://www.finito.ai look

For me it's a few things, I like LM studio because it's an app that's got lots of fine grained controls for tech-focused folks but is simple enough for people that just want to try LLMs to use. The customisability is great -

I’m assuming you haven’t used SDXL? Give it a go with invokeAI - you can create images that I guarantee you wouldn’t know were generated. Like anything (photography included) it’s a skill. Examples: - https://civitai.com/

A SDXL 1024x1024 high quality image generation takes between 5-15 seconds on an RTX3090 depending on your scheduler. I haven’t tried the older SD1.x/2.x or lower resolution models but I’m assuming they’d be quite a bit faster.
