Doesn’t seem to have any of the podcasts I listen to on it - all of which are very popular. The skeptics guide to the universe, no such thing as a fish to name a few.

Yeah I shared yesterday - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37898748 It’s quite hard with such low quality footage. I think could be done is use some sort of algorithm to stop that sort of wavy chemical look that might b

I’ve never seen a manager like you describe but I’d sure like to have more of this!

GGML has been replaced with GGUF now and GGML is no longer getting any updates. GPU offloading for GGUF/GGML has been available for quite a long time in Text Generation WebUI and works very well, but isn’t nearly as fast as GPTQ or the

First attempt has processed at 1080p 60fps, uploaded to YouTube - it will take some time for YouTube to finish processing it in 1080p - https://youtu.be/hlhn9HSH4OI I think I can do better though, so will try another method

I'll do this and let you know how it goes, I don't think I can easily add colour but I can work some other magic. ETA is likely 2-3 hours + whatever it takes to upload (assuming I get back to it tonight - otherwise I’ll upload tom

Yeah I’m the same. As soon as I’m done with a tab I’ll close it, I’d rather close something and reopen it than have a bunch of sites open for no good reason.

Also more privacy respecting, and more customisable / flexible.

I haven’t opened Google in a few years but I’ll try to remember to compare some results and provide you screenshots tomorrow or this weekend. I’m surprised others haven’t already done this!

I found the quality of DDG searches really quite poor - worse than Google even. Not so much sponsored content but it’s like it lacked understanding of the context of what I was searching for which is something I find Kagi does well.

I’ve found Kagis search results far better than DDG, not even in the same ballpark.

It’s a neat idea with potential - but why the need for a login? That makes it feel like my files are now someone else’s.

Open source and locally hostable app that provides code completion and Q&A similar to Github Copilot and also provides the ability to train on your repos/data. I'm not affiliated in any way - but have found it the best locally

$8/mo AUD seems pretty steep, that’s competing with streaming services etc…

Yeah? That’s pretty normal from what I’ve seen. Three business related ones. Two local meetup groups. One personal one.

Wow. I wish. I think at my work we average around 5 or 6. Now it’s so hard to switch between them quickly, see what notifications there are and change your status.

Nah, it’s terrible for a lot of people who struggle with all the workspaces and needless amount of clicks to get anything done.

Yep, you can get any cheap or seemingly random domain and just have the zone set to your internet device(s). There’s nothing stopping you, pushing your own internal CA, though, if you’re big enough to warrant that

I have HTTP/3 on my local network using traefik + let’s encrypt and an internal zone. I didn’t actually go out of my way to set up HTTP/3 it was pretty much just a few extra lines of configuration so why not?

YT premium starts at $20/month in Australia for a single person, that’s far more than most other streaming services and you still have to put up with advertising and clickbait from creators.
