Why does Facebook need a browser? This is a space I would honestly never consider them "innovating" in.

I think it is becoming increasing clear, especially with the Yahoo patent suit, that Facebook desperately needs a patent portfolio. Additionally, what makes you so certain Facebook doesn't needs patents? Please, explain.

This reminds me of when Palm bought Be Inc. Everyone thought Palm would start using BeOS instead of Palm OS 5, but really Palm just wanted the patents. So my guess here is, if Facebook really does make a purchase, it will to acquire intelle

What would happen if the police retain the data, presumably on a hard drive, then don't follow properly dispose of the equipment after a hardware upgrade? It would be possible for criminals to acquire the information somehow, right?

I didn't see Appirater in the link nor did a search on website reveal anything. I am concerned that my users may feel requesting a review in the App Store after 10 uses and/or 10 days to be unethical, but I cannot figure out what reasons th

I'm not a libertarian, but I do find laws to be applied arbitrarily at times. For instance, I live in a place where sharpies are banned in public areas. Local police use anti-vandalism as an excuse to stop and search anyone who looks like t

I don't know what legal ramifications could follow sites which declare they support Do Not Track as a spec but in actuality do not support any of the features of the spec in a meaningful way. Other than just bad press if discovered, I don't

Advice rarely comes with the caveats, and free advice is worth every cent. Ever hear anyone write on a blog, "I wish I didn't have to spend so much time with my family." or, "Given the Dunning–Kruger effect, don't follow your dreams as you

In other news I contemplated illegally robbing a Las Vegas casino after watching Oceans 11. Unfortunately, it wasn't a conspiracy as I just kept it myself, until now. How do I get Peter Kafka's attention? My company needs press, too.

I don't think it matters if it is right or wrong. The part the government is interested in is if Apple allowed or even encouraged Agencies to set similar prices. It is like running a red light. We can all agree it is illegal. But is it ille
