It's a bit funny, but it's really a question of distance more than medium. For in-rack, DAC/Twinax is just copper and good for 400G, and cheaper than separate optics and fiber.

Really? They specifically don't allow distribution of anything but games, which would preclude a storefront, presumably.

I mean... working fine, in that the only people who buy them are pretty techy. It's not so easy to get Win 10 working right, it requires a fair bit of effort, and the experience sucks. I'm not so sure Steam would be super happy if

It is interesting re: copyright, but rarely are software IP rights enforced via copyright. Patents are more likely. Copyright for software is a very low bar to hurdle.

I mean, LVT or not, that is probably true. If the price increase affects the entire market, landlords will exit the market until equilibrium is restored (or renters will increase their willingness to pay a higher rate). If market price <

There’s a big gap between $5 and $21… for now. That I have no doubt they’ll spend all their time building features so they can increase prices to close that gap.

Since when does anyone set or scale their price on their costs?

This definitely seems like something that's more about development priority that they're trying to sell as a feature.... Realistically, since they just autoescalate if the incident isn't acknowledged it appears, one would thi

I think the design is you use the automatic escalation if the page isn't acknowledged.

isn't that why it's good? You can't control infinite variables, the only ones here are A/B and you're keeping a subset of them as a control group?

That's people that live in Manhattan. That is not the day time (or night time) population of a large business and finance hub, commuter and tourist city. I can't reply to your comment below, but that wasn't the point I was m

These stats for NYC are heavily skewed, I don't see an easy link to the source data for neighborhoodscout, but I think their methodology is _very_ flawed for popular cities. They list the population of Manhattan as 1.6M, but there

That's not just tech. It's everywhere. It's _really_ hard to hire good people consistently.

I would be glad it was out there if it was aggressively marketed as a drivers assistant feature, not as a self-driving capability.

I wouldn't describe it as trivial. My Tesla would phantom brake consistently in a lot of spots - overpasses were a very big trigger. Also anytime I'd pass an exit I wasn't taking in the right lane it would veer and slow down

The adaptive headlights can solve that by altering the projected shape in real time. It's neat to see what some of the EU cars do, I think they're standard on newer Teslas, and just require the right software in the US.

Yes, basically, when you stop innovating and are only doing incremental improvement, someone is going to come and eat your lunch.

Ahh... probably good to clarify that. My company limits us to a maximum of 15% of your total compensation in addition to IRS limits. I set it to 15% and let them sort out the IRS math.

Almost all software is used by customers - they might just not be paying you. Not understanding that your internal users are your customers is a mistake.

You're comparing apples and oranges to an extent - the M1/M2 delivery like.... 5x the performance per watt of x86 designs. Even the E-cores draw more power than the M1/M2 cores.

Well, as is being discussed, the band size matters a lot when discussing cup sizes. A 36DD is pretty large, a 28DD is not in absolute terms. But in terms of appearance, a true 28DD will look quite large on a small frame. I would bet a lot
