It really depends. Some kinds of equity at firms means you get a percentage cut of monthly pnl. Some kinds of equity you can sell. Some kinds of equity are, for all intents and purposes, worthless.

I mean, python doesn't do it very well at all. that's not say I would use Swift, but I'd choose Julia any day over Python.

F# has a much more primitive type system than Scala and isn't particularly impressive imo. And it doesn't have functors ala OCaml.

I guess I'm thinking of Python mostly. I thought OCaml did as well but apparently not.

How do you get recognized by practicing musicians? Could I generate white noise and pay them a cut of my future government hand outs so they would approve my white noise as music? Like honestly this idea is so amazingly terrible and full of

The think the government paying artists directly would solve problems? It would create tons of problems and just end up as another broken system like everything else.

I feel the opposite: defi has been shaping up to be seriously useful. There's still a lot of kinks to work out and while I don't see it replacing tradfin systems, the next 5-10 years look very bright! We will have some crypto wint

I actually don't like Pandas but I think it's pretty obvious that the array language style is an incredibly powerful way to manipulate blocks of multiple dimensional data. People here are complaining about not being able to use fo

It's not even about performance, writing vectorized code is just superior. The array language model is very powerful and you can literally write a couple lines of code that would take hundreds of lines of normal Python. That being said

Pandas isn't great, but I find it significantly nicer to use than normal Python. Why do you want to write a 100 lines of dumb loopy code when you can probably solve the same problem with a couple lines of Pandas? If you really just wan

You usually find that perps and short term futures have higher rates than longer term futures. A very common strategy is to buy longer term futures and sell shorter term ones. If you're looking for cheap delta, longer term futures are

Technically, it's not d1 (just like how futures aren't actually d1). And seeing that annualized % basis in swaps is so high (sometimes as high as 600%), you really need a good rate model to trade these things. The retail crowd d
