It doesn't help that the exact purpose of OpenDoc can't be explained. There's no clear killer app or purpose of it. It's a a platform for combining things on documents. For god knows what reason. You might say "it&#

I still have no idea what’s the substance here, your example was filters and pipes of cli. That’s trivial in Swift.

What you call unsafe hackish things is basically the default level in C. It makes no sense to both call this unwanted in Swift and wanted as a whole language. It comes off as you just don’t like the “unsafe” word.

Saying they're different, but not saying how (according to you) is honestly not very useful. Especially when no one defines these terms the same way, so it's not like I can go and find and compare definitions.

In software you should be familiar that exposing a debugging interface can be a 10 minute job. Exposing a public service can be a 3 month job. And not just for developers, but also for documentation writers, marketing, legal, and so on. If

So your default assumption is that a company whose entire division may be selling washing machines, doesn't give a damn about the programs that make those machines useful. Great.

Well if you want it to be scriptable, you might need to spend three month's rent on a new washing machine. And yeah, uhmm... most washing machines can run drying after washing. You just took your specific model's issue, and decide
