Rocky is more visible, I don't see that as a bad thing, not like it spends many resources. It also helps partners decide to support them, in particular Mellanox now Rocky-8.

Wasn't that the purpose of Fedora? An up to date distro where new technologies can tested, community and partner feedback, etc. In any case, I get the justification for CentOS stream, but changing CentOS 8's EoL from 2029, to Jan

Seems pretty weird to me. I read an article that the top 5% of users are responsible for 90% of tweets and most of the profit. Said 5% have been leaving the platform for the last few months. Now there's a $8/Month incentive for

Unlikely, the CPU is an arm with old arm cores (A72). I don't think ESXi supports arm.

As mentioned elsewhere, it's 1-9W not 1.9W idle. Other similar products idle at 10-12 watts with the same CPU.

As someone else mentioned it's 1-9W not 1.9W for the H3 and H3+. I don't particularly trust the numbers, generally the N6005 runs hotter than the N5105, which makes sense since it's the same process and largely the same chip

Just look for the small router/switch looking pics with 4 or 6 ports on the front: https://www.servethehome.com/category/networking/ They review half a dozen of them or so. Most with the N4000, N5000, and

Nice unit, I tried to buy similar as a home router using the Odroid $47 4 x 2.5G daughter board. Sadly the chip shortage killed the H2 plus off. However there's now a zillion celeron+6x2.5G units out there cheap, see https:/

Yes, your signal identity is tied to a phone number. But attackers can't tell who you are talking to, or what groups you are in. So why does it matter?

Rumors claim a M2 mini in the next month, with a max of 24GB ram. Even more interesting is the rumor there will be a M2 pro mini which doubles the max ram and adds more CPU/GPU perf.

Just as a data point, my desktop is a Xeon e3-1230 v5, which is the same silicon as the i7 from 2015. The CPU cost $250 new, the entire desktop was $1100 or so, not including the monitors. I followed the https://rustc-dev-guide.

Apple has done pretty amazing things with the m1. IMO the most unique part is scaling memory bandwidth. The vast majority of PCs are running 128 bit wide memory, with workstation CPUs like the threadripper (and pro) being the exception, bu
