I wouldn't be surprised if AWS is using Graviton2 pretty heavily for internal processes as well, stuff like control planes for the major services like S3, SQS, SNS, etc...

Yes, unit tests are the way to go. Lambda being a single function with a defined output makes this really simple. We have unit tests for sublibraries, but the "integration test"-level test are just calling the handler with the tes

The local bakery had this system put in a year or so ago, and I was hopeful they'd finally use it to accept payments other than just cash... Unfortunately not.

I recently watched this YouTube video about the Therac-25, it was similar to this article (albeit a little less in-depth). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7gVqBY52MY

Nvidia cut Hardware Unboxed off from review samples because they weren't happy with the editorial. Nvidia specifically said that "should your editorial direction change, we will reconsider..." It's not text, and it'

Google Finance actually used to have a pretty good API. My first iOS app was a client to that API, I was pretty bummed when they shut it down. I'm not surprised that it hardly gets updates though -- it was neglected back then as well.

I originally didn't like AWS's console because it wasn't "consistent", but when I opened up GCP's console the first time, I immediately preferred AWS. Fast and usable is better than inconsistent.

This is really good. I've been using pydicom ( https://github.com/pydicom/pydicom ) but it's always good to have variety in libraries and tools.

AZ is a well-known abbreviation in AWS. For all intents and purposes, it can mean a data center, but I've heard that AZs can span multiple physical data centers (which sort of makes sense -- there's a physical limit to how many se

What I find pretty funny is that "call-back when operator is ready to talk" systems are pretty simple to implement these days. I've done a few in Amazon Connect, and it took about 10 minutes to set it up and an hour or so to
