They were sued [1]. The lawsuit lasted 7 years and ended in a settlement. The terms were not public, but I think it's likely they promised to institute a process that goes above and beyond what the DMCA requires. [1]: https:/

An endless supply of money sounds like a great source of tax revenue. It's rather difficult to evade a property tax.

If that were true, they wouldn't have defined the equality operators for floating point types. Some numbers are exactly representable and some numbers are not [1]. It's difficult, but you can in fact reason about the exact results

It doesn't sound like they really started until 2017, but the movie appears to be in post-production. I think the delay from 2021 to 2022 was about finding a good release window.

> You cannot use equality in floating point. Sure you can. 1.0 + 2.0 == 3.0. There's a lot of gotchas, but it is possible to make useful comparisons.

That does amaze me. I remember booting taking ages on my 166MHz Windows 98 machine. I'd press the power button and go do something else while it booted.

To me, the original C-style code looks nicer than the Java. C++: bool found_minus = (*p == '-'); bool negative = false; if (found_minus) { ++p; negative = true; if (!is_integer(*p)) { // a
