Reminder that AWS Aurora claims to have broken the CAP theorem. The literature doesn’t clarify whether they are consistent or available, and when you ask AWS directly, they tell you the CAP theorem isn’t relevant due to the way Aurora is bu

It's relatively trivial to have a `FROM scratch` dockerised microservice in Rust. I'm not convinced having an entire OS brings that much to the table.

Good to know Nykredit behaves the same. Sigh. As long as you declare your gains to SKAT, then your bank should be fine with you taking money in from an exchange. You only declare your gains and losses after you sell your crypto[1]. From a S

Is it DB? Have you been using crypto (did you get a payment from an FTX in the past year?)? Are you also using Lunar? DB regularly goes into scaremongering whenever a client does something they don't like/understand. Using some &q

There is _a lot_ wrong with Marlin. It is a complex codebase, full with ancient artefacts, litterred with preprocessor ifdefs every 2-3 lines of code, dynamic includes in the middle of CPP files, etc[1]. It's about as unreadable as C++

I didn’t know about this point. Which printer would be closed frame, so I can understand the difference? From what I’ve been able to observe, the quality of the XL is quite good for single tool head prints, however the quality really nosedi

I think Prusa has had a couple of missteps of late, but they’re not in the gutter yet. On the XL: the 0.6mm makes sense with the build volume, to significantly improve print times, but seems to really not work well with the 5 toolhead model

Yeah, but apparently you can’t fathom there are people living outside your country. The person you replied to started his post “as an Englishman”. I wrote “many places around the world”. But you can’t see our points.

I don’t doubt what you say, but I’m flabbergasted that phone use really is that common. I’ve probably used my phone 5 times while driving in the last two years, and I can’t imagine why anyone would need to do it more than that. I do rely on

Wasn’t there this thing that Google collected a list of SSIDs using their Google Maps cars, and that gave them “good enough” geolocation using passive WiFi scanning, which was much less battery intensive and faster than GPS?
